Supports.chat ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data when you use our AI chat widget service.
Website Owners (our customers): When you sign in via Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture. We store this to manage your account and subscription.
Website Visitors (end users): We do NOT collect or store personal data from visitors who use the chat widget. Questions are processed in real-time by AI models and are not logged on our servers.
The supports-chat.json file is hosted on your website, not on our servers. When a visitor asks a question, the widget sends the knowledge base content along with the question to our API proxy, which forwards it to the AI model. This data is not stored after the response is generated.
The widget caches AI responses in the visitor's browser localStorage (limited to 1MB). This data remains on the visitor's device and is not accessible to us. Visitors can clear this cache by clearing their browser data.
We use the following third-party services:
AI Model Providers: We route AI requests through secure API connections to leading language model providers. Their respective privacy policies govern data processing. Questions may be temporarily processed by these providers but are not stored.
Google OAuth: For account authentication. Google's privacy policy applies.
PayPal: For payment processing. PayPal's privacy policy applies to financial transactions.
Cloudflare: For hosting and CDN. Standard Cloudflare analytics may apply.
The widget itself does not set cookies. The supports.chat website uses minimal cookies for theme preference and language selection, stored in localStorage.
Account data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, all associated data is removed within 30 days. Chat responses are not stored server-side.
As a service operating from the EU (Poland), we comply with GDPR. You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@supports.chat to exercise these rights.
The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy periodically. The "last updated" date will reflect changes.
